This third and last lighthouse has a pentagonal shaped tower, and adds variety to our seaside scenery.

Questo terzo ed ultimo faro ha una torre pentagonale e aggiunge varietà al nostro scenario costiero.

To be sure the lines on the panel walls are aligned put first the entrance one as it  is impossible for it to mistake the top and the bottom sides. Per essere certi che le linee dei pannelli siano allineate mettete per primo quello dell'ingresso per il quale è impossibile scambiare lato superiore ed inferiore.

This is the tower base where the lights will be hidden. Questa è la base della torre che conterrà le luci.

For the lower portion, once all the tower is closed to glue it better a small tool can be of help. Per incollare la parte inferiore , incollata per ultima quando il resto è chiuso, può essere d'aiuto un piccolo attrezzo.

The title question is all but philosophical and zen!

La domanda del titolo è tutt'altro che filosofica e zen !

We have been asked to design a Christmas decoration to be put in a plastic ball to hang to a tree. It was a really difficult task because the 3d model was supposed to resemble the Gesu Church in Philadelphia (USA).

Ci è stato chiesto di disegnare una decorazione da inserire in una pallina di plastica per l'albero di Natale. Era davvero difficile perchè il modellino 3 D doveva essere la Chiesa del Gesù in Philadephia ( USA).

We have been close to refuse the challenge, but then we decided to give it a try.

Siamo stati vicini a rifiutare il compito, ma poi abbiamo deciso di provare.

We imagined that the model should have been more evocative than a real replica, in fact we made 2 front sides so the building is easily recognizable however the ball is placed on the tree.

Abbiamo pensato che il modellino avrebbe dovuto essere evocativo senza essere una vera replica, infatti abbiamo messo due facciate cosi l'edificio è riconoscibile comunque sia appesa la pallina.

We have decided to welcome the new year with these, a small group of lanterns that are our latest creation. A bit of brightness and the joy of thinking always new things to do and make is something we wish for us and for all this coming year.

Abbiamo deciso di festeggiare il nuovo anno con queste, un piccolo gruppo di lanterne che sono la nostra ultima creazione. Un po' di luce e la gioia di pensare sempre cose nuove da fare e da costruire è qualcosa che ci auguriamo per noi e per tutti in quest' anno che viene.

Ispirazioni di primavera. Spring inspirations

La Primavera è una stagione meravigliosa, ma si porta dietro tanto lavoro, che occupa tanto del nostro tempo. Fra iris, peonie , glicini e soprattutto erba  da tagliare il nostro giardino ci tiene abbastanza occupati!

Spring is a wonderful season, but it comes with a lot of work to be done that eats up a lot of our time . With irises, peonies, wisterias and over all  wild grass to cut our garden is keeping us quite busy.

Comunque Il nostro giardino è sempre  una grande fonte di ispirazione e piano piano le idee che ci stanno venendo prenderanno forma nei prossimi post!!

Anyway our garden is always a great source of inspiration and little by little the projects that are just ideas for now will take form in the coming posts.

Una delle nostre piante preferite sono gli iris di cui abbiamo una variata collezione comprendente Iris barbata, siberiani, japonica , bulbosi ed acquatici.

We are very fond of Irises of wich we have a collection including Iris bearded, siberian, japonica , bulbs and water irises.

Oltre al glicine di cui abbiamo per ora solo un paio di esemplari abbiamo anche una passione per le peonie.

We have for now only  a couple of wisterias  while our passion for peonias lead us to plant many varieties of this gorgeous plant.
