A Lantern with deers and trees. Una lanterna con cervi ed alberi

 

  I wanted to do something new so I made a decorative lantern that looks like ..a lantern ! Something homie and traditional as I like my Christmas Holidays… In this time I really share the vision of that wise Irish writer, George Moore, who observed that a man travels the world over in search of what he needs only to return home to find it.

So put a tea light in your dear old new lantern and go home (at least in spirit) to share the Season with your family and friends!

  Volevo fare qualcosa di nuovo così ho fatto una lanterna decorativa che sembra….. una lanterna!

Qualcosa che sapesse di casa e di tradizione perché è così che mi piacciono le feste natalizie!

In questi tempi condivido la visione del saggio scrittore irlandese George Moore che osservava come le persone viaggino in tutto il mondo alla ricerca di ciò di cui hanno bisogno per poi tornare a casa per trovarlo.

Allora mettete una lucina nella vostra cara vecchia nuova lanterna e andate a casa (almeno col cuore) a condividere le feste con la famiglia e gli amici!

Here how to build the Lantern “deers and trees”.

Ecco come si costruisce la lanterna dei cervi e degli alberi.

Fold the two pieces of the roof and glue inside the decorative panels centering the stars openings. Pieghiamo le due parti che compongono il tetto e incolliamo all'interno le foderine centrando i buchi a forma di stella.

Fold the top decoration and close it gluing the tab. Pieghiamo la decorazione in punta e chiudiamola incollando la linguetta.

Secure a string inside the top decoration and glue it to the roof. Here the string is 12 cm long, let it a little longer to tie the other end to the ring. Dopo avere assicurato un cordino all'interno incolliamo la decorazione in punta. Qui il cordino è lungo 12 cm, lasciamolo un po' più lungo per legarne l'altro capo all'anello.

The opaline paper must be attached  placing the glue on the white frame and  that must be glued to the lantern. Here showh the lantern element that includes the bottom and the side that opens. Il vellum va incollato mettendo la colla sulla foderina bianca e questa va incollata alla lanterna. Qui si vede la metà della lanterna che comprende il fondo e lo sportello.

Glue the deers passing in front of the  the trees. Incolliamo i cervi che passano davanti agli alberi.

Glue the left and right points of the trees to the vellum  on the white frame, as in the picture.

Incolliamo le estremità sinistra e destra dell'albero al vellum sulla fodera bianca, come in foto.

Le due parti della lanterna pronte ad esser incollate.

Glue the linear element that complete the top crown of the lantern folding the lateral tabs and the lower strip. Please note that glue must be put only on the side tabs as all the other cardboard occupying the opening are stoppers for the side that will open, if we put glue on them then we will not be anble to open the lantern at all.

Incolliamo l' elemento lineare che completa il lato superiore della lanterna piegando le linguette laterali e quella inferiore. Notate bene che la colla deve andare solo sulle linguette laterali perché tutte le altra parti in cima , in fondo e di lato sono gli scontri per lo sportello : se mettiamo la colla lì lo sportello risulterà bloccato !
