Soffermandomi davanti al prototipo appena costruito della
nostra casa-lanterna porta bon-bon, forse complici i colori pastello dei
cartoncini usati, il pensiero va al film Disney “Mary Poppins”: Bert, dopo aver
disegnato con i gessetti sul marciapiede, invita i bambini a entrare nel
paesaggio. Una scena bellissima e indimenticabile. Il meraviglioso potere della
fantasia, questa è l’eredità che è stata lasciata a chi, come noi, non ha mai
pensato che sognare fosse cosa da bambini.
Standing in front of our
prototype for this project my thoughts
go to Disney's “Mary Poppins” movie: Bert, having drawn on the walkway, invites
the kids to jump in the scenery: a beautiful and unforgettable sequence. The
wonderful power of imagination, this is the inheritance left to those, like us,
that never thought that dreaming was a childish attitude.
Questo plotter continua a darci grandi soddisfazioni. Noi
continuiamo a metterlo alla prova e non ci ha ancora deluso, anzi in qualche
modo ci spinge a chiedergli maggiori dettagli e quindi ad aumentare la
complessità dei progetti. Questo è piuttosto complesso dato il numero di pezzi
che lo compongono ma abbiamo anche cercato un equilibrio tra dettagli e
facilità di montaggio e pensiamo di
averlo trovato.
This plotter continues to give
us great satisfactions. We continue to test it and it never lets us down, it
pushes us to ask it more details and more complex projects. This project is quite elaborate
seen the many pieces to cut, but we tried to balance the number of details with an easy assembling procedure.
Sul fondo della casa si trovano gli alloggiamenti per 4 led tea light. Abbiamo voluto esagerare
ma non è necessario metterle tutte, anche con 2 l’effetto è pregevole; per un
effetto veramente suggestivo noi abbiamo
scelto quelle baluginanti.
On the house inner pavement
are inserted 4 lead tea lights, (we
wanted to “pump up” the light, but 2 would have been enough), for a richer
effect we used flickering lights.
Penso che questa casa sarà il soggetto di altri post a
venire: la scelta del cartoncino le può conferire un aspetto molto diverso, più
elegante o più giocoso. Per meglio capire se una certa fantasia sia più o meno
adatta (dimensione e posizionamento dei disegni) ho montato i pezzi di scarto
su un pezzo di acetato.
I think this house will be
the subject of other posts to come: choosing different cardboard gives to the
final project many different aspects,
from elegant to childish. To better see if a certain paper pattern will work
well for it I prepared a design tester
with left over pieces on acetate .
