An American paper village. Un villaggio americano

We never stop to be surprised of how nicely our files can be transformed by creative peoples around the world... we generally imagine them with several options but soon have to stick to a colour scheme and even if we would like to have fun trying with different ones and different paper designs, actually we never have the time as we are soon taken to solve the problems for a new project, and our projects are always elaborated and we never have problems shortage!!

Non smettiamo mai di stupirci di quanto bene possano essere trasformati I nostri files da creativi in tutto il mondo. In genere li immaginiamo in diverse versioni, ma ben presto ci concentriamo su un singolo schema colori e anche se ci piacerebbe realizzare I nostri files sperimentando colori e fantasie diverse ben presto siamo presi da un nuovo progetto e dai problemi da risolvere...e visto che I nostri progetti sono piuttosto elaborati non siamo mai a corto di problemi!

Once again we are happy to share, with her permission, some photos of the work that a fantastic creative and good friend from the States, Mary Trevantino, has done with some of our files, giving them her tasteful personal touch.

Ancora una volta siamo lieti di condividere in questo post, con il suo permesso, le fotografie del lavorone che una fantastica creativa e buona amica dagli Stati Uniti, Mary Trevantino, ha fatto con alcuni dei nostri files, dando loro un tocco personale.

How to make an American Quilt/ Picnic. Come fare un quilt/picnic americano

The old movie “How to make an American Quilt” came back to me while I was designing some invitations for a Picnic. The idea of staying  under the pear tree (as a friend of mine put it) comfortably sitting on a quilted picnic blanket is very appealing to me , so the invitations shows some samplers: the bear foot, the first I learned,  the Lemoyne star, one of my favorites, and the card trick that is  always very elegant , especially in blue. Mentre stavo progettando degli inviti ad un picnic mi è tornato in mente il vecchio film “Come fare un quilt americano” . L’idea di stare “sotto il pero”(come dice un mio amico), seduta comodamente su una coperta da picnic fatta a quilt mi piace molto, così gli inviti mostrano tre samplers:  la zampa d’orso, il primo pattern che ho imparato, la stella di Lemoyne, uno dei miei preferiti, e il trucco di carte che è sempre molto elegante, specie in blu.

I cut the patterns with my plotter and then glued it all together; to simulate the stitches that are necessary to show the quilted nature of the sampler I just draw them freehand with several gel pens. Ho tagliato il pattern con il mio plotter e poi ho incollato il tutto; per simulare i punti  che distinguono il quilt dal semplice patchwork li ho disegnati a mano libera con diverse penne gel.

The invitations are completed by the cake with glaze and cherry on a silver stand and  the title “great Picnic” that is also showing an ant…hard to avoid guest at every picnic. This ant is the most American part of the card, in fact the stamp is an old one my brother bought for me when he was living in L.A., California. Gli inviti sono quindi completati dalla torta a strati con glassa e ciliegina su un’alzatina d’argento e dal titolo “ Grande picnic” che mostra una formica…l’ospite difficile da evitare ad ogni picnic. Questa formica è il tocco più americano di tutto l’invito, infatti è un vecchio timbro che mio fratello mi aveva comperato quando stava a Los Angeles, California.

An Album for Mariapaola. Un album per Mariapaola

When I showed to Maripaola our scrapbooking paper she was very enthusiast of this pattern with the birds hopping in and out the cages that we named “free to stay”. So I decided to produce an album using this decor for her.

Quando ho mostrato a Mariapaola le nostre carte per scrapbooking, lei è stata molto entusiasta di quella con gli uccellini che entrano ed escono dalle gabbie che avevamo intitolato “free to stay”, liberi di restare.

Così ho deciso di creare un album per lei.

The album contains  five envelopes in which are organized journaling tags.

L’album contiene cinque buste in cui trovano spazio delle tags per journaling.

The envelopes are decorated with nice frames ready to accommodate pictures and titles.

Le buste sono decorate con dei cartigli pronti a incorniciare foto e titoli.

I hopes she will like this small present as she liked the scrapbooking  pages.

Spero  che questo pensiero le piaccia quanto le sono piaciute le nostre carte.

Some of our papers. Alcune delle nostre carte

Hi everybody, here are some of the papers that we are preparing, as you can see they are organized as series so they are more flexible to use : a page can be a background  and  can be matched with a piece of another that will be a border or an accent… as in the best scrapbooking tradition!!!

Buona  giornata a tutti.  Ecco qui alcune delle carte che stiamo preparando, come si vede sono organizzate per serie così da essere più flessibili da usare. Una può fare da sfondo mentre da un’altra si possono ritagliare un bordo o un decoro…nella migliore tradizione dello scrapbooking!!!

A crazy drawing of flowers and leaves is the inspiration of two different series: “Regina di Fiori”(Queen of flowers) and “Fiori Jazz” (Jazz Flowers).

Un disegno pazzo di fiori e foglie  è l’ispirazione di due serie: “Regina di Fiori” e “Fiori Jazz”.

Here some first ideas for the ”Regina di Fiori” paper: an album for springtime annotations with the key of a secret garden, in precious Swarovski  crystal.

Qui alcune prime idee per usare la carta “Regina di Fiori”. Un album con appunti sulla primavera con la chiave di un giardino segreto  in prezioso cristallo Swarovski.
