The inspiration for this San Valentine themed tiny box is the idea of adding just a drop of Chocolate to the small card that shyly reveals a secret affection. A feeling closer to young age and simple sharings...still also this year the box is big enough for the occasional 3 karats engagement diamond ring!

L'ispirazione per questa scatoletta per san Valentino è l'idea di aggiungere una goccia di cioccolato ad un bigliettino che timidamente racconta una nascente simpatia. Un sentimento più vicino agli anni della giovinezza e a semplici condivisioni...per quanto anche questa volta la scatoletta sia grande abbastanza per l'occasionale anello di fidanzamento con diamante da tre carati!

Build it is very easy... I used 220 grams/square meter  cardboard

You do not need to use all of them: in the pink box I did not use the red heart one

To center properly the decorations on the sides of he body of the box put the cover first

Love is in the air: a lantern with a sweet heart

 

This decor/ sweets tray is a small house for St. Valentine Day. The lights are bright inside the ground floor as you can see from the windows. The facades come in 3 different styles, a simpler one, one with a blank banner ready to be personalized and one with a “Love is in the air” banner. The house has a narrow green fenced garden and the heart design is all over as it should be, my Valentine!

Questa decorazione/ porta cioccolatini è una casetta per il giorno di San Valentino. Le luci splendono al piano terra dietro le finestre. Le facciate sono in tre versioni, una semplice, una con uno stiscione in bianco su cui scrivere per personalizzarlo ed una terza con il fregio che dice “Love is in the air”. La casetta ha un piccolo giardino recintato e il disegno del cuore è dappertutto, come c’era da aspettarsi, caro “Valentine”

Do not glue the opening for the string ligts  because when the house will be on top of the garden this will be the way to access to the switch. Non incollate l'apertura per le lucine perchè  quando la casa sarà incollata sopra questo sarà l'accesso per arrivare all'interruttore

The paper that was in the windows rolls up to become the chocolates holder rest. Il cartoncino che era nelle finestre si fa su e diventa il punto d'appoggio per il porta cioccolatini

 

Windows and doors have 2 main layers plus opaline and colored inserts. Finestre e porte hanno due livelli principali più pannelli decorativi opalini e colorati 

Apply the glue on the pink layer of the door and the green of the windows and consider well where to avoid stains . La colla va applicata sulla parte rosa delle porte e sulla verde delle finestre e bisogna considerare bene dove va messa per evitare di sporcare

The facades have decorative details as well. Anche le facciate hanno dei dettagli decorativi

The roof has two slopes that attach on top of the long walls and  that have decorative decor panels that enhances the roof top line.  Il tetto ha 2 falde che si attaccano in cima alle pareti lunghe della casa e che hanno pannelli decorativi che valorizzano la linea di colmo

To see well the alignements of house and garden while attaching them is better  wait to put the  roof   and the "chocolates holder" in place later. Per vedere bene come allineare l'incollaggio di casa e giardino è meglio posizionare il tetto e  inserire il "porta cioccolatini" successivamente

You can decide to add a string to remove easily the chocolates holder or to glue it in its place. Si può decidere di mettere un cordino per sollevare facilmente il ripiano dei cioccolatini o anche di incollarlo al suo posto

The  chocolates holder measures 7 by 12 centimeters so can accomodate few chocolates or a small gift. Il ripiano porta cioccolatini misura 7 per 12 centimetri e può quindi contenere qualche cioccolatino  o un piccolo regalo 

I decided to use the "Love is in the air" decoration and keep the stress and the rhinestones at minimum, but as always there is plenty of space fro personalization...What about a love message written by hand as in the good old days? Io ho scelto di usare il tema "Love is in the air" e tenere gli strass e lo stress al minimo ma c'è sempre spazio per la personalizzazione...che ne dite di una dedica scritta a mano come ai vecchi tempi?
