This Spring awakens again with the joy of new flowerings, our garden has been blessed by a sea of daffodils and we are waiting now for our spring favourites: lilacs, peonies, and of course irises.

Questa primavera si sveglia di nuovo con la gioia delle nuove fioriture, il nostro giardino è stato benedetto da un mare di narcisi e ora aspettiamo i nostri fiori primaverili preferiti: i lillà, le peonie e ovviamente gli iris.

So this time the flowers are all around even on the roofs of this small Easter lantern free to download for the readers of our blog.

Così questa volta i fiori sono dappertutto, anche sul tetto di questa piccola lanterna di Pasqua scaricabile gratis per i lettori del nostro blog.

The file is available in StudioV2 version (for Silhouette users only) and in SVG an PDF format for a wide range of cutters. Please note that if your software resize "randomly" your SVG files you can verify the measures in the PDF and also consider that may be you have some settings to fix in your sistem as the files are tested and perfect.

I files sono disponibili in formato StudioV2 (per chi usa una  macchina Sihouette), SVG e PDF. Se il vostro software ridimensiona a random i vostri SVG potete verificare le misure con il file PDF ma dovreste anche considerare che c'è qualche settaggio nel vostro sistema che causa questo problema che non dipende dal file che è testato e perfetto.

Here how to make it! Ecco come procedere!

The design is conceived to be cut with plotters that have no scoring tool. The cricut space see it ad a continuous line as the dots are tiny. You must remember to select the shapes (their boundaries must be cut) and associate to them the cutting tool, while you must associate the scoring point at the lines inside the shapes (the folds, that are dotted and selectable with a single click for each shape). You place a piece on the mat, unlock it, select the shape and associate the scissor on the descending curtain menu on the right. Then select the inner lines ( in each shape they all are selected with a single click), associate the scorer on the same descending curtain menu on the right.

Il design è pensato per macchine che non hanno un attrezzo per la piega, In cricut space le linee tratteggiate vengono lette come  continue perché i punti sono minuti e ravvicinati. Bisogna ricordare di selezionare  le forme ( i cui contorni vanno tagliati ) e associare loro la lama, mentre per le linee interne alle forme (che sono le pieghe e sono selezionabili con un solo click per ogni forma) bisogna scegliere l'attrezzo di  piega. Riassumendo  bisogna  piazzare sul tappetino il pezzo su cui vogliamo lavorare, sbloccarlo, selezionare il contorno e associarlo alla lama, poi cliccare su una linea interna (che seleziona anche tutte le altre) e associare lo scorer dallo stesso menù a tendina.

Incolla per costruire  la sporgenza della linea di gronda.

Glue the opaline paper behind the window and the  trim outside.

Incolla la carta opalina dietro la finestra forata e fuori il decoro esterno.

Put glue only on the walls tabs to join the house 2 pieces  as the floor has to be free to open to turn on and off the light.

Incolla solo le linguette dei muri per unire i due pezzi della casetta perchè il pavimento deve restare libero di aprirsi per accendere e spegnere la luce.

 

Glue the panels on the roof centering the flowers on the holes. 

Incolla il decoro del tetto centrando i fiori sui buchi.

Add the flowers on the roof.

 Aggiungi i fiori sul tetto.

If you like decore the windows, I added a smaller flower  to the file as I wanted an  handle for the opening.

Se vuoi decora le finestre. Io ho aggiunto al file un fiore più piccolo perché volevo usarlo così.

In this time of the year we really feel the need to rest and recharge in our garden, time is never enough and Spring is the most beautiful season, but it is also very demanding in terms of time and work to be done...This small group of lanterns celebrates flowering and butterflyes. 

A questo punto dell'anno sentiamo proprio il bisogno di rigenerarci nel nostro giardino, il tempo è sempre poco e la Primavera è la stagione più bella, ma anche la più impegnativa fra erba da tagliare, rinvasi da fare e piccoli problemi causati dall'inverno da risolvere. Questo piccolo gruppo di lanterne celebra la fioritura e le farfalle.

Omaggio alle farfalle. A tribute to butterflies

Con la mia cartolina pop up ho vinto il challenge #1/14  di “Scrappiamo Insieme” e sono stata nominata Guest Designer per il nuovo challenge che prevede l’uso di alcuni abbellimenti per la costruzione di un progetto” scrapposo”…Fra questi abbellimenti c’erano nastri e farfalle…il mio pensiero è corso alla storia dell’arte che sempre è fonte di ispirazione e mi è tornata in mente la scultura di Canova in cui Amore e Psiche tengono in mano una farfalla. Un bell’arco neoclassico con tanto di oculi, la suddetta scultura un po’ effettata e un volo di farfalle stampate sull’altra facciata del foglio che piegato diventa l’ esedra di sfondo. Un solo foglio per la  struttura di  base, poi farfalle fiori e nastri ! Per il set fotografico ho scelto, per accompagnare il feeling neoclassico,  un violetto dal sapore un po’ Wedgwood  per lo sfondo e come “tappeto “ una delle carte che abbiamo disegnato.

With my pop up card I won the challenge #1/ 14 of “Scrappiamo  Insieme” so I am their Guest Designer for the challenge #2!

The assignment consists in a scrap project that has to include butterflies, flowers, and laces. My idea came from art history, always a great inspiration, and I thought of Antonio Canova and his sculpture with Eros and Psiche admiring a butterfly. So under a neoclassical arch stands the sculpture, while butterflies are flying all around . The structure is one only sheet of paper printed front and back, cut with my plotter and folded. Then I added the lace and the  flowers to soften the composition.

The shooting set includes a background in a Wedgwood violet to confirm the neoclassical flavor and a “carpet” that is one of the papers that we draw.

Hi everybody, here are some of the papers that we are preparing, as you can see they are organized as series so they are more flexible to use : a page can be a background  and  can be matched with a piece of another that will be a border or an accent… as in the best scrapbooking tradition!!!

Buona  giornata a tutti.  Ecco qui alcune delle carte che stiamo preparando, come si vede sono organizzate per serie così da essere più flessibili da usare. Una può fare da sfondo mentre da un’altra si possono ritagliare un bordo o un decoro…nella migliore tradizione dello scrapbooking!!!

A crazy drawing of flowers and leaves is the inspiration of two different series: “Regina di Fiori”(Queen of flowers) and “Fiori Jazz” (Jazz Flowers).

Un disegno pazzo di fiori e foglie  è l’ispirazione di due serie: “Regina di Fiori” e “Fiori Jazz”.

Here some first ideas for the ”Regina di Fiori” paper: an album for springtime annotations with the key of a secret garden, in precious Swarovski  crystal.

Qui alcune prime idee per usare la carta “Regina di Fiori”. Un album con appunti sulla primavera con la chiave di un giardino segreto  in prezioso cristallo Swarovski.

Free download PDF Easter basket. Cestino pasquale in pdf

Sono molto felice di essere riuscita a postare questa versione pdf del mio cestino pasquale perché so che qualcuno la stava  aspettando. Ho cercato di renderlo interessante anche se è meno complesso dell’altro, così che sia  possibile tagliarlo con un buon paio di forbici e un cutter. Quello che ho tagliato per me lo ho ulteriormente arricchito con qualche tocco di pennarello e così non c’è limite alla pazzia! Ho anche aggiunto un tris di viole del mio giardino scansite e ritagliate. Il nostro giardino è sempre fonte di ispirazione e spero col tempo di spiegare in questo blog quanto questo sia stato importante per noi.

Visto che gli ovetti erano quasi finiti (…qualcuno, come dicevo, ha avuto libero accesso) ho messo dentro un uovo decorato  a batik della nostra collezione.

I am very happy to post the pdf file for this Easter inspired basket décor, as I know friends were waiting for it. I tried to make it interesting even if much simpler than the other version so it can be easier to cut by hand  with cutter and scissors. The one I cut for myself has touches of marker to embellish it ( no limits to madness). I also added  a tris of pansies from my garden, scanned and cut ! Our garden is always an inspiration for us and I hope with time on this blog to explain and share this feelings.

Seen that the chocolates were almost gone ( … as I said somebody had   free access to them) I placed inside the basket a batik painted egg from our collection.
