Nature Pavilion, an impressive centerpiece lantern. Nature Pavilion, un centrotavola luminoso che non passa inosservato.

The inspiration for this lantern comes from the longing desire of spring and of time to spend in our country retreat where we enjoy a closer communion with nature and may be life itself. In a month or something we will have the first daffodils and the red magnolia blossoms will be visible from afar...We will be able to evaluate the damages of winter and wood peckers! We will be over confident about our harvest successes to come and as always will buy too many seeds for the vegebetable garden ! But still it will be Spring!! In the meantime we dream and prepare lanterns for our Garden parties!

L'ispirazione per questa lanterna viene dal desiderio di primavera e di tempo da passare in campagna dove lo stare a contatto con la natura ci rimette in pace con la vita. Fra poco più di un mese avremo i primi narcisi e i boccioli rossi della magnolia saranno visibili da lontano...Potremo valutare i danni dell'inverno e dei picchi...Saremo troppo sicuri dei nostri successi nell'orto ancora da preparare e compreremo troppe sementi come sempre...Ma comunque sarà PRIMAVERA!!! Nel frattempo sogniamo e prepariamo lanterne per le feste in giardino...

This lantern, that accomodates up to 10 led tea lights, is a sort of nature temple, out of an enchanted forest , is calling all the animals that are arriving and getting closer to the mystery inside... It can be finished in various ways, leaving space to individual interpretations and it is quite easy to make !!!

Questa lanterna, che ospita fino a 10 led tea lights è una specie di tempio della Natura, eretto in una foresta incantata , tutto preparato, richiama gli animali del bosco che si avvicinano per celebrare la festa . Può essere finito in molti modi, lasciando spazio alla creatività individuale ed è abbastanza facile da costruire!!!

When we draw one of our projects at the very start it is pure geometry, but very soon we imagine it with a colour scheme.

Sometimes we have so many ideas that it is hard to decide which will be the verion to make to publish on the blog and so we are very curios and enthusiast to see how the creativity of somebody else can change our design.

In this post we publish, with her permission, some photos of the interpretations that a super creative and super nice friend from the States, Mary Trevantino, has done with some of our files, giving them her personal touch.

It is a great satisfaction for a designer to see that your work is appreciated and so well “put at work”with taste and added creativity by people that shares our passion and enthusiasm.

Quando disegniamo uno dei nostri progetti all'inizio si tratta di pura geometria, ma molto presto si riveste di uno schema cromatico.

Talvolta le idee sono talmente tante che è difficile scegliere quale sia la versione più bella da realizzare per fotografarla nel blog, così ci piace avere l'opportunità di vedere come la creatività di qualcun altro può cambiare il nostro progetto.

In questo post pubblichiamo, con il suo permesso, le fotografie dell'interpretazione che una super creativa e super gentile amica dagli Stati Uniti, Mary Trevantino, ha fatto con alcuni dei nostri files, dando loro un tocco personale.

E' una grande soddisfazione per un designer vedere che il tuo lavoro è apprezzato e così ben “messo all'opera” con buon gusto e creatività da persone che condividono la nostra passione ed il nostro entusiasmo.

Welcome to our Christmas Village. Benvenuti al nostro villaggio di Natale.

This charming Christmas decoration is going to be a joyful centerpiece for the table this season to welcome our guests .

Questa graziosa decorazione darà un tocco gioioso alla tavola di Natale.

We have a small village here, with a nice parish church, a gift store , a pavilion with the musical band all around a decorated Christmas tree.

Si tratta di piccolo villaggio natalizio, con tanto di chiesetta , di negozio di regali , di un padiglione per la banda musicale organizzati intorno all’albero decorato.

It is quite easy to build but some pieces could be a challenge for bigger hands… but on the other hand the design of the windows that have a window sill “coming out with a pinch” and then are hung to the shutters simplifies the decoration of the facades, if you use a paper of the right weight you can even for most of them avoid of using glue .

Nell’insieme costruirlo è abbastanza semplice, anche se certi pezzi sono un po’ più complicati da montare viste le piccole dimensioni. Qui il lampo di genio è nelle finestre che si montano facendo “ venire fuori “ il davanzale e poi si “appendono” alle ante delle persiane eliminando così il problema di montarle dritte e se si usa il cartone del peso giusto per molte si elimina anche la necessità della colla.

The little details we had fun to draw: the different window frames , the church decoration with biforas and angels, the eclectic look of the pavilion are “ the noise of details within a unitary look” that gives character to our village.

I piccoli dettagli che ci siamo divertiti a disegnare: i diversi timpani delle finestre, la decorazione della chiesa con trifore e angioletti, il look eclettico del padiglione sono “il tumulto dei particolari nell'unitarietà dell'insieme” che danno carattere al nostro villaggio.

A particular green house. Una serra speciale

Quando dicevamo che Il nostro giardino è sempre  una grande fonte di ispirazione ma si porta dietro tanto lavoro ( sul campo e non) ecco cosa intendevamo. .. la nostra stanza da bagno si è trasformata  in una serra !!! Poiché non ci sono limiti alla pazzia ( e lì sta il divertimento ) l’ispirazione botanica ha travolto tutto…

When we said that our garden is always a great source of inspiration but it  means  a lot of work to be done (on the fields  and not) this is what we had in mind: our bathroom is becoming a green house!!! There are no limits for imagination ( there lies the fun) so botanical inspiration is transforming everything…

In alto sulla vasca  ci sono vasi, barattoli per cibo per pesci da laghetto, uccellini che si stanno rifocillando ed anche un pignone  decorativo.

High over the bath-tub  there are vases, cans of pond fish food, birds eating and a big  decorative pine cone.

La porta scorrevole che si apre sulla lavanderia sta diventando un armadio del giardinaggio con tre ripiani per barattoli, scatole, spruzzatori, piccoli attrezzi, buste di semi e perfino un annaffiatoio, una fila  di cassettini  e due ante appena socchiuse…

The sliding door to the laundry room is becoming a cupboard with three shelves for gardening tools, seeds envelopes, sprayers, even a small watering can, then there is a line of small drawers and a couple of small doors not completely closed.

Sull’altra parete una finestra in ferro battuto si apre sul paesaggio, mentre sul davanzale trovano spazio vasi fioriti, vecchie latte di riciclo e caraffe per giacinti.

On the facing wall a wrought iron window  opens on the valley while on the window sills there are flowering  vases, old recycled cans and glass hyacinth roots jars.

Ispirazioni di primavera. Spring inspirations

La Primavera è una stagione meravigliosa, ma si porta dietro tanto lavoro, che occupa tanto del nostro tempo. Fra iris, peonie , glicini e soprattutto erba  da tagliare il nostro giardino ci tiene abbastanza occupati!

Spring is a wonderful season, but it comes with a lot of work to be done that eats up a lot of our time . With irises, peonies, wisterias and over all  wild grass to cut our garden is keeping us quite busy.

Comunque Il nostro giardino è sempre  una grande fonte di ispirazione e piano piano le idee che ci stanno venendo prenderanno forma nei prossimi post!!

Anyway our garden is always a great source of inspiration and little by little the projects that are just ideas for now will take form in the coming posts.

Una delle nostre piante preferite sono gli iris di cui abbiamo una variata collezione comprendente Iris barbata, siberiani, japonica , bulbosi ed acquatici.

We are very fond of Irises of wich we have a collection including Iris bearded, siberian, japonica , bulbs and water irises.

Oltre al glicine di cui abbiamo per ora solo un paio di esemplari abbiamo anche una passione per le peonie.

We have for now only  a couple of wisterias  while our passion for peonias lead us to plant many varieties of this gorgeous plant.

Tante le idee che vengono indotte da queste fioriture: dalle decorazioni per un party in giardino all’organizzazione dei semi con buste personalizzate.

The blooming seasons brings many ideas from garden party decorations to personalized seeds envelopes.
