 We always agree that a beautiful gift deserves a good looking wrapping! It can also happen that  the box looks better than the item that conceals...I always buy cookies not so good but with wonderful tin cans!

So here we go, we have a box and on its top there is a hill, and on top of the hill there is a mansion built around a decorated Christmas tree.

Siamo sempre d'accordo che un bellissimo regalo merita un incarto all'altezza! Può anche succedere che la scatola sia più bella del contenuto...Compro sempre dei biscotti poi non così buoni solo perché la scatola di latta è meravigliosa! Eccoci qui allora, questa volta si tratta di una scatola sul cui coperchio sorge una collina, e sulla collina c'è la casa dell'albero di Natale.

This project contains several optional details and can generate a lot of different versions. The top can be used alone and became a 3d tag.

Il progetto contiene alcuni dettagli opzionali e si possono fare versioni molto differenti, la decorazione del coperchio può essere usata da sola e diventare un chiudipacco 3d.

Inside you can place a led tea light and the Christmas atmosphere covers the hill!

All'interno si può inserire una led tea light e la luce dell'albero si spande sulla collina!

Happy New Year . Buon anno nuovo

We have decided to welcome the new year with these, a small group of lanterns that are our latest creation. A bit of brightness and the joy of thinking always new things to do and make is something we wish for us and for all this coming year.

Abbiamo deciso di festeggiare il nuovo anno con queste, un piccolo gruppo di lanterne che sono la nostra ultima creazione. Un po' di luce e la gioia di pensare sempre cose nuove da fare e da costruire è qualcosa che ci auguriamo per noi e per tutti in quest' anno che viene.

An Album for my cat. Un Album per il mio gatto

Avevo voglia di rifare un album, perché mi piace  questo  oggetto prezioso e personale, questa volta ne ho fatto uno un poco più grande . Visto che l’argomento ispiratore è “il Gatto” tutto lo spazio non basta mai per  tutte le cose che si vorrebbero inserire e scrivere!

I wanted to create a new album because we like this object personal  and precious, this time I made a little larger one. The Inspiration is “The Cat” so all the space will never be enough for all the things to glue in and write!

Per dare all’album un aspetto più importante, da volume da biblioteca,  ho decorato il dorso con un cartiglio rivettato ( dove scrivere il titolo, nel nostro caso  il nome del gatto al quale l’album è dedicato)  ed ho inventato una copertina con due  parti  sbalzate ed un timbro acquarellato. Uno dei due sbalzi è eseguito su foglio di rame, l’altro in cartoncino verde richiama il colore del vestitino della bambina col gatto del timbro.  Le pagine interne dell’album sono inserite in buste anch’esse decorate con pannelli sbalzati.

To give to the album a more interesting look  I decorated the spine with a cartouche with embellishing  eyelids ( to write on it the title, in our case the name of the cat to whom the album is dedicated) and created a cover with two embossed areas, a panel of embossed copper foil   and a portion with embossed diamonds in green cardboard matching the color of the dress of the girl in the stamp. The pages of the album are in envelopes decorated with embossed panels.

Welcome to Easter Bunny house and garden. Benvenuti alla casa e nel giardino del Coniglietto di Pasqua.

This charming  Easter  decoration  is going to be  a joyful centerpiece for the table this spring to welcome our guests eggs hunting.

Questa graziosa  decorazione pasquale  darà un tocco gioioso alla  tavola di Pasqua,   e accoglierà amici e parenti a caccia di uova.

We have  a quite wealthy Bunny here, with a nice house, a greenhouse (where he paints his eggs on an  especially designed desk), a bench all around a decorated tree, a wheelbarrow to move eggs around , fences and so on…

Si tratta in effetti di tutta la casa del Coniglietto di Pasqua, con tanto di serra (in cui custodisce le uova mentre le dipinge su un apposito bancone) ,di panchina tutto intorno all’albero decorato, di carriola portauova e di steccati intorno alla proprietà. 

It is quite easy to build but  some pieces , like the bench, are a challenge for bigger hands… the design could have been done in more pieces, but part of the fun in thinking something like this is also imagine a single piece of paper that folded, turned and glued is transformed in a 3d structure.

Nell’insieme costruirla è abbastanza semplice, anche se certi pezzi sono un po’ più complicati da montare viste le piccole dimensioni. Se fosse da solo l’albero si potrebbe tagliare grande anche quasi il doppio e sarebbe più comodo montare la panchina che gli gira attorno…si poteva fare in più pezzi, ma il divertimento sta anche nell’immaginare geometrie che piega e gira diventano 3 d… 

There are little details we had fun to draw: the long ears window frame, the bells hanging from the roof and all the small fences… Actually these are the things that remind us why we like a cutting machine so much: cut as  you  draw is really fun !!!

Ci sono piccoli dettagli che ci siamo divertiti a disegnare:  la finestra orecchiuta, le campanelle sul tetto e tutti i dettagli degli steccati… In effetti è in questi dettagli che si riscopre l’entusiasmo per il plotter da taglio: ritagliare quello che disegni è bellissimo!!! 

We made a version that is a box containing chocolate eggs!

Abbiamo anche realizzato una versione che diventa scatola porta ovetti.

Every time I ask my brother to be faster with his part of one project he always answers that Rome was not built in one day. From these pictures you will see that sometimes it is true.

Immagini dell’albero di Natale in giardino: piatto(!), assemblato di fianco agli altri pezzi, il dettaglio della colla sulla tea light, l’albero inserito nel suo vasone.

Per scegliere con più facilità la carta per le decorazioni il trucco è fare una mascherina in acetato con gli avanzi : questo aiuta a vedere se le dimensioni e colori della fantasia scelta si adattano o meno.

To choose well the paper for the decoration the trick is to prepare a mask with leftovers glued on acetate to verify if the dimension of the design of our paper works well. 

Un tetto appiattito con i suoi ringhierini e poi pieno di caramelle!

The roof flat with the railings and then built up and full of candies!

Affinché  possa sostenere il peso delle caramelle e cioccolatini noi consigliamo per la struttura l’uso di cartoncino 270 g/m2. 

To be able to sustain the weight of candies and chocolates the cardstock for the structures should be  270 grams x square meter.
